Brand Profile
The primary goal of Pisa University Press – the University of Pisa’s publishing house – is to enhance the University's multifaceted scientific output. The extensive catalog covers all research areas, ranging from long-established fields to the most innovative and up-to-date ones.
The scientific value of PUP publications is guaranteed by the peer review system, for which each series or journal editor is responsible.
Alongside the traditional activity of printing volumes and journals in paper format, Pisa University Press pursues the policy of open access, that is, free and barrier-free access to scientific knowledge, through the essential use of the Internet, intending to disseminate and share the results of research.
Being part of the Center for Innovation and Dissemination of Culture (CIDIC), the PUP also pursues the goal of communicating, producing, and disseminating scientific culture and knowledge within the Tuscan territory, and in the city of Pisa in particular.
