Brand Profile
Managed since 2024 by two young publishers, Maschietto Editore combines tradition and innovation, treating the book—in its multiple material and digital forms—as a design object and a compass for understanding a complex world.
Founded in 1994, Maschietto Editore does not operate as a vanity press and boasts a catalog of 348 titles. The new management's vision is to expand production, ranging from accessible first readings to illustrated books, from essays to comics and fanzines, all the way to coffee-table books and artist’s books, also including publications in foreign languages.
At the core of the publishing project lies the study and dialogue between 20th-century and contemporary artistic languages—not as a mere aesthetic exercise but as a cultural necessity to tackle present-day challenges. Through art, Maschietto Editore aims to foster care, build relationships, and envision solutions for a more inclusive and aware society.
The publishing house has also launched workshops for individuals, schools, and associations, such as Ora con Noi, to promote work autonomy, enhance manual skills, and develop critical thinking.
For a 2025 full of new releases and exciting projects, Maschietto Editore is committed to growing its community of individuals, private entities, and public institutions, co-creating a safe, accessible, and experimental space where generations, cultures, and perspectives can connect and enrich one another.
