Brand Profile
Non-fiction publishing house founded in 1981 by Raffaello Cortina, who is still the Publisher.
Since the beginnings, our interest was set on psychology in its various branches: clinical psychology, psychoanalysis, and the many sectors of psychotherapy. Over the years, Raffaello Cortina Editore has become a leader and cultural point of reference for enthusiasts, academics, and professionals.
In the early 1990s, our catalogue opened up to other disciplines such as philosophy, neurosciences, and anthropology. In 1994 Giulio Giorello founded Scienza e idee, one of the most well-known and appreciated series in our country, collecting some great pop science books.
Our catalogue features many long seller books, some of which have been selling consistently for more than 30 years. Among the most successful authors are Carlo Rovelli, Giacomo Rizzolatti, Massimo Recalcati, Bessel Van Der Kolk, Edgar Morin, Carl Gustav Jung, John Bowlby, Christopher Bollas, Eric Kandel, Telmo Pievani, Giulio Guidorizzi, Piergiorgio Odifreddi and Vittorio Lingiardi.
