Cratèra is a publishing entity that aims to become a volcanic eruption of creative and cultural projects. It stems from a thorough exploration of the publishing landscape in the fields of architecture, design, and photography, with a particular focus on the scientific and academic sector. This analysis led to a clear vision: the need to establish a company capable of offering editorial services and high-quality graphic products, featuring qualified and carefully selected content, but above all, able to follow and, in some cases, anticipate research before it takes its final form.
This vision becomes our mission: to take care of editorial content and make it visible in the market through synergistic strategies in both marketing and communication, as well as in creating networks (commercial and academic) at national and international levels. The book is a cultural product that we live and view as an integrated project: from text to image to distribution.
The contemporary complexities associated with publishing and digital revolutions drive us to attempt to make our contribution. We believe it is possible to combine the careful handling of content with its graphic and communicative representation in a publishing project, supported by an updated and experimental storytelling and dissemination system.
Aware of the challenges and the porous nature of design and research, the image of a crater also represents a large “vessel” where everything mixes to break out of the rigid compartmentalization of scientific publications.
