Brand Profile
Polidoro Editore, originally founded by Alessandro Polidoro, has been active since 2013. Our work at first focused, through analysis and research, on traditions from the city of Naples. Subsequently, however, the boundaries and interests of our cultural aims expanded, in particular towards Italian and foreign fiction, expressed through the Classics, Perkins and I Selvaggi collection.
In 2023, on our tenth anniversary, Polidoro changes guise and renew itself: our new logo, inspired by the mythological character Polidoro, which metamorphoses into a plant, symbolizes the continuous transformations needed to describe contemporaneity; while the new graphic design came from work shared with the graphic studio /tracciafantasma/.
We built Interzona, a collection of Italian fiction directed by Orazio Labbate: a special fictional territory where the literary novel winds with freedom and extreme attention, involving authors of the highest caliber.
I Selvaggi, our collection of Hispanic and Hispanic-American fiction that has brought us great satisfaction in recent years, now directed by Massimiliano Bonatto, reaches six titles a year, while with AltroParallelo collection proceeds the research on classical authors who have defined our literary reflection between past, present and future through these years.
The core of our work remains the reader and the liability we feel for our cultural offer.
