Brand Profile
Creating a catalog is our mission: working with passion towards the discovery, translation, graphic and editorial presentation of each text, thinking that once a book is released it will end up on the shelves of a bookshop, in the hands of one or many readers, will given away, annotated, underlined, it will change hands ten or a hundred times and will be resold who knows when in a small second-hand bookshop. We love literature without time boundaries, especially American or English-language literature, but we don't want to stop there. We started with Mark Twain, with the ambitious project of publishing his complete works before the end of the world and the end of publishing, whichever arrives first. The work is now almost complete, and when the project is completed we will be the first publisher in the world to achieve the goal. In the meantime, 'Life on the Mississippi', our first title, has been reprinted several times. American literature and perhaps the entire modern literature starts from there, to arrive today at our Andre Dubus, Charles Baxter, Stuart Dybek, Ernest Gaines, Gina Berriault, Larry Watson, John Smolens and Rick Bass. Perhaps passing through James Still or A. B. Guthrie. Books that don't want to age, in short. And according to our calculations, even inside a backpack or in the hold of a sailing boat, the paper, the binding, our passion and, above all, the words of our authors should be able to survive your most risky stresses. It's up to you to test us.
Each journey into history is created to satisfy the curiosity of the most attentive tourist, providing precious information for anyone who wants to understand the facts, discover the characters who determined them and above all find, on the terrain of history, traces of the past. With our series of guides "Travels in History" we want to accompany you in the rewarding experience of a precious, unforgettable holiday.
