Marotta&Cafiero publishers is a young independent publishing house, a local publishing house Made in Scampia. We are "book dealers", we print amazing literature, civil fiction, stories from the South of the world. Completely ecological books on certified recycled paper, with non-polluting inks and glues without plasticizers, at 0 km, highly readable. We are a Pizzo Free company, a company that does not pay protection money. Since 2021, we have been part of the Industrial Union of Naples, in the Cultural and Creative Industry section. Our publishing house is dedicated to our cousin Antonio Landieri, an innocent victim of the Camorra, a 25-year-old disabled boy killed by mistake in Scampia during a clan feud. We opened the first bookshop in Scampia and Melito: La Scugnizzeria, the street urchins' house, a book dealing square. Since 1959 we have been erupting books in the shadow of Vesuvius, we have published people of the caliber of Daniel Pennac, Stephen King, Osvaldo Soriano, Antonio Skármeta, Raffaele La Capria, Ernesto Che Guevara, they told us that we would close after a few weeks because in Scampia no one reads and out of spite, we published Günter Grass: a Nobel Prize for Literature.
